Abe Diamond was a harmonica player who played in his brother's group, The Solidaires.
Coney Island (1943) as Member of The Solidaires (Credited as Leo Diamond and His Solidaires)
Abe Diamond is bottom left of this picture. Richard Hayman is wearing glasses and Leo Diamond is in the red top.
Abe Diamond is the young man in the front, wearing a hat in the striped shirt, holding the harmonica to the right of his brother, Leo, in this photo. His birthday is actually August 22. My father Abe and my Uncle Leo played with Borrah Minevitch and His Harmonica Rascals before Leo left for his solo career. Thank you very much for chronicling them here. Much love, Dyan.

Hey Dyan,
ReplyDeleteI’m attempting to track down your uncle Leo Diamond’s music publisher, which used to be handled by Robert Diamond, Leo’s son. Any help would be much appreciated! Best,
