Helen Gilbert

Born: 4 July 1915, Warren, Ohio, USA
Died: 23 October 1995, Los Angeles, California, USA

Before becoming a movie actress Helen Gilbert was a cellist, a concert artist and was eventually invited to play for the MGM orchestra. Helen Gilbert was married six times, which could explain why she didn't make many films. She often appeared in big films, but in smaller roles. Her beauty is obvious but her acting ability was run-of-the-mill and therefore there were plenty of actresses to take the parts that she found herself doing. Her sister was Mari Finley a bit part actress.

The Falcon Takes Over (1942) as Diana Kenyon

In this film Helen Gilbert had a co-starring role alongside George Sanders.

Three of a Kind (1944) as Belle Collins

With Paul Phillips.

  1. helen gibert my grandmother was a very unique person. She had that 1930's style of class that a woman would have had . Helen kept it simple in her little stuido apt in downtown , Los Angeles ca. apt till she pasted . One of the most amazing people iv ever had the pleasure of meeting ,[ and i do mean by some of the stories of her life that she would share ever so often .]
