A very talented , but underrated British actor, Most of his work was in the theater , but he did do a few TV series and movies ( most of which are very hard to find. The major TV series he appeared in include THE SANDBAGGERS and TO SERVE THEM ALL MY DAYS and the TV movie A VERY BRITISH COUP. Information on Mr. MacNaughtan is as hard to find as copies of his television and film work. I would love to hear from other admirers of this lesser known, but extremely talented British actor.
I've just been watching him in "To Serve Them All My Days", which is now available in full on Youtube. I think he was a wonderfully sensitive actor and managed to imbue the acerbic Howarth with such subtle humanity. A brilliant find.
