Harold Russell

Born: 14 January 1914, North Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada
Died: 29 January 2002, Needham, Massachusetts, USA

Although Harold Russell wasn't really an actor, after losing both hands in a training accident with the paratroopers, he was eventually offered a major part in a film. His performance won him 2 Academy Awards in the same year, one for Best Supporting Actor and an honourary one for being an inspiration to all returning veterans.
