Robert Benchley

Born: 15 September 1889, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA
Died: 21 November 1945, New York City, New York, USA
 
Robert Benchley career was varied. At one time or another he was a writer, magazine editor, comedian, humorist in newspapers and magazines and still found time to act in over 100 movies. His son Peter Benchley is the author of 'Jaws', which was made into a film in 1975.
