Hal Le Roy

Born: 10 December 1913, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
Died: 2 May 1985, Hackensack, New Jersey, USA

Hal Le Roy was an incredible tap dancer and most of his film appearances were more about his performance as a dancer rather than his acting ability. His jelly-legged style was similar to that of Ray Bolger. He appeared in vaudeville throughout the 1930s and 1940s, but his film appearances were few.

The High School Hoofer (1931) as Hal Le Roy

This was Hal's first screen appearance. It was a short musical that was centred around his dancing.

Too Many Girls (1940) as Al Terwilliger (Credited as Hal LeRoy)

Hal Le Roy dances while Ann Miller, bottom right, watches. This was Hal's last film appearance.
