Died: 2 November 1952, Chobham, Surrey, England
Henry Edwards was an actor and director of silent and sound films.
Credit to Keith Graham for the correction of Henry's birth year. Most sources state 1882 but they are wrong and this correction will slowly filter through to them.
Green for Danger (1947) as Mr. Purdy
Henry Edwards is on the right, with Alastair Sim.
The Long Memory (1953) as Judge (uncredited)
This is the only clear shot of Henry Edwards in this, his last film.

Just a minor correction please - Henry Edwards dob was actually 18/9/1833, Weston - super - Mare
ReplyDeleteGreat site!
I assume you mean 1883. Where is this information from, everywhere else says 1882.
DeleteHi Ian - my apologies for that silly mistake re. Harry Edward's birth year and my delayed reply
ReplyDeleteHis GRO birth certificate recorded this birth at 4 Hill Road, Weston - super -Mare as 18/9/1883 (registered 9/10/1883) where the Edwards family lived for about 5 years; the family living in the town until about late 1887. I live in Hill Road and I'm the local house historian, so Harry Edwards as a somewhat forgotten local 'Notable' was a marvellous discovery so I wrote a piece on his life and significance for the local family history society.
Thanks for that information, Keith. I will adjust the date accordingly.
