Charles Penrose

Born: 11 November 1873, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, England
Died: 17 November 1952, Kensington, London, England

Charles Penrose was a stage performer who worked in music hall and the West End. He is most famous for his 'laughing songs' especially 'The Laughing Policeman'. In later life he appeared in films and on radio.
