Helen Gibson was a star of silent film serials. She often did her own stunts and continued as a stunt woman whilst appearing in bit parts in films of the 1930s and 1940s. From 1915 to 1917 Helen made a series of short films under the banner The Hazards of Helen. The first 48 of the series beginning in 1914 starred an actress called Helen Holmes, while Helen Gibson made the remaining 71.
