Billy Engle

Born: 26 May 1889, Czernowitz, Bukovina, Austria
Died: 28 November 1966, Hollywood, California, USA
 
Billy Engle worked in burlesque before becoming a film actor in the silent era, making dozens of short comedies. During the 1930s Billy continued to work in short comedies whilst also taking mainly uncredited roles in features. He appeared in several Best Picture Winners at the Academy Awards.
