Myrna Loy

Born: 2 August 1905, Radersburg, Montana, USA
Died: 14 December 1993, New York City, New York, USA

Myrna Loy started her film career in the silent era playing small roles. As sound came in and many of the silent stars faded, Loy was considered more of a talent and was given dialogue in many of her early films, whilst still in supporting roles. Eventually, thanks largely to her role as Nora Charles in 6 'Thin Man' films, Myrna Loy became a star in her own right.
