After years of acting on stage Charles Wagenheim broke into films at the beginning of the sound era. For the most part he was a supporting character actor or bit part player, often uncredited. Wagenheim appeared in over 200 films but was mainly seen on television during his latter years, acting right up until his murder in 1979.
