Tony Hancock

Born: 12 May 1924, Hall Green, Birmingham, England
Died: 25 June 1968, Bellevue Hill, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

A grumpy-styled character comedian of radio and television in the UK who starred in three films and appeared in a few others. His most famous radio show was Hancock's Half Hour which was also adapted and updated for television. Much has already been written about Tony Hancock and there are many documentaries concerning his genius and his self destruction through drinking. His films were generally second rate, but his radio shows were where his comedy was at its best.

The Punch and Judy Man (1963) as Wally Pinner
