Lois Boyd was a showgirl in the Ziegfeld Follies. She was later given the opportunity to become one of Mack Sennett's Bathing Beauties and then was picked out to make a series of short comedies with three fat actors, Hilliard Karr, Frank Alexander and 'Kewpie' Ross, collectively known as 'A Ton of Fun'.
