Burgess Meredith

Died: 9 September 1997, Malibu, California, USA

Later in Burgess Meredith's career he became a household name once more with two iconic roles. In the 1960's Batman series he made the character of 'The Penguin' his own and then in 1976 he played the part of Mickey, the boxing trainer who helps Rocky to become a great boxer. Both these parts maintained what was already a steady career and brought Burgess Meredith into the lives of a new generation.
