Muriel Barr

Died: 31 March 2001, Irvine, California, USA

Muriel Barr was a model, dancer and actress. During her short film career she appeared in several uncredited bit parts alongside the likes of Broderick Crawford, Franchot Tone and Victor Mature. In 1940 Muriel appeared for her only time on Broadway in the musical revue 'Earl Carroll's Vanities'.

The Wizard of Oz (1939) as The Lion's Manicurist (uncredited)

Muriel is crouching on the right. Katharine Snell is also in this shot attending to the lion's head. Bert Lahr is the 'Cowardly Lion.' Dona Massin is the manicurist crouching on the left.
















Fast and Furious (1939) as Miss St. Louis (uncredited)

Muriel Barr is at the back of this picture in the dark top. The stars of the film in this shot are Franchot Tone, Ann Sothern, Ruth Hussey and Allyn Joslyn.

No dialogue for Muriel in this film, but quite a few seconds of featured screen time with Broderick Crawford.
