Margaret Lindsay

Died: 9 May 1981, Los Angeles, California, USA

Although Margaret Lindsay was an American, who initially studied drama in New York, Universal signed her to a contract, after she had spent time in the UK for further study, as a British stage actress. Lindsay had tried unsuccessfully for a career on Broadway, after making her professional stage debut in England, before becoming a film actress in 1932. She did eventually make a single appearance on Broadway in 1943 playing 'Diana Flynn' in a production of 'Another Love Story', with Roland Young.
