  1. Really enjoyed him in Berlin Express and found his character believable. Great picture above at the end of the movie waving in a scene of unity.

    1. Thank you for your comment, Brad. This was a film I really enjoyed and it offered a little bit of hope to the new post WWII world.

  2. Just watched Berlin Express today (Easter Monday 2020) during the Covid-19 lockdown in the Kurdish region of Iraq.
Only three film credits to Mr Toporow's name - Kim, The Red Danube and Berlin Express.
His good looks and natural appearance/style should have garnered him many more roles.
Passed away 1993. Curious as to what he did afterwards. Few clues on the internet unfortunately.

    1. Roman had a beautiful life, a beautiful wife (I understand ex-German film actress) and a beautiful house in Beverly Hills, California, where he used to work for Max Factor & Co. as Vice-President for Latin America and subsequent to that position was an Executive Director based in Paris France (Ronde Point des Champs Elysees). Colorful character.
