Maja Hafernik

Born: 1958 or 1959

It seems that Maja Hafernik had a pop career in France as well as being an actress and probably a model.
Maja won Miss Teenage Brighton in 1963 at the age of 14.

Smokescreen (1964) as Maid

This is Maja's only credited screen appearance and she is visible for about 5 seconds.

  1. Dear Ian, I would like to know if you have a copy of the film to offer it to my mother who is the forgotten actress Maja Hafernik. Thanks a lot.

    1. I don't have the film anymore. Sorry. Do you have any more information I can add about your mother, please? Thanks.

    2. Hello Ian, I knew your Mother in the 60's, we were all at Shiverers Swimming Club in Hove, East Sussex. I remember her as being a very pretty girl, winning the Miss Teenage Brighton contest and then going off to Paris as a Blue Bell Girl. A crowd of us went to the Granada Cinema in Portland Road, Hove to watch her in the film and gave a big cheer when she came on screen! Happy days. Regards Linda Martin

  2. Hello , Ian, from across the pond. I grew up in Hove and in the 70’s started doing tv commercials internationally. I actually started with the same agent your mother had. I remember her being underage and having to report to the judge at Temple Bar twice a year. I went with her and your grandparents on one occasion, as I had to be in the city also. She was absolutely gorgeous and the nicest person you would ever meet. I went to see her at the Lido when I was shooting in Paris for L’OrĂ©al. Is she still around? If so, send my love. 3. Just to clear things up. Maja is the mother of the first unknown person to comment, who didn't leave their name. She is of no relation to me, but I am fascinated by her career. Thank you Linda and Jacqueline for your comments.
