Martin Boddey

Born: 16 April 1907, Stirling, Scotland

Died: 24 October 1975, London, England

 

A West End actor who gradually moved into films and then television.  Often played policemen or magistrates.  Aside from acting, Martin Boddey is also known as the founding chairman of the cricket charity The Lord Taverners, which was founded in 1950.  He was also made president of the charity in 1953 and 1971.
