Myrna Loy

Born: 2 August 1905, Radersburg, Montana, USA
Died: 14 December 1993, New York City, New York, USA

Myrna Loy started her film career in the silent era playing small roles. As sound came in and many of the silent stars faded, Loy was considered more of a talent and was given dialogue in many of her early films, whilst still in supporting roles. Eventually, thanks largely to her role as Nora Charles in 6 'Thin Man' films, Myrna Loy became a star in her own right.

Harriet Hagman

Born: 1907, Helsingfors, Finland
Died: Unknown

Thirteen Women (1932) as May Raskob

A few lines of dialogue in what sounds like an English accent, although it is quite audible that she is European. This could be one reason why her film roles are so few.

Peg Entwistle

Born: 5 February 1908, Port Talbot, Wales
Died: 18 September 1932, Hollywood, California, USA

Peg Entwistle was a Broadway actress of some repute who appeared alongside Billie Burke and Humphrey Bogart, but when jobs became scarce in the early 1930's she moved to Hollywood to try her luck in the booming film industry.. After her only film role she found it difficult to get work and felt that her career was going nowhere. Her ambition was to be a star of films. Entwistle decided to end her life by throwing herself off the H of the 'Hollywoodland' sign (as it was in its complete and original form). Her legend was secure but for the wrong reasons and much has now been written about Peg Entwistle's death and very little about her very short film career.

Thirteen Women (1932) as Hazel Clay Cousins

Although her part in this film was originally quite big, owing to its poor response the film was cut and Peg Entwistle's on screen time was eventually only around three minutes.
