Bill Raisch

Born: 5 April 1905, North Bergen, New Jersey, USA
Died: 31 July 1984, Santa Monica, California, USA

Bill Raisch was a dancer who became part of Florenz Ziegfeld Jr.'s troupe. Raisch lost his right arm while serving in the Navy during WWII, fighting a fire on board ship and getting badly burned. Having already had some experience of working in films he turned to this as his choice of career and worked as a stand-in and bit part actor for a while until he was cast in the television series 'The Fugitive (1963)' as a recurring character initially called 'The One-Armed Man'.
